We believe our lives and our communities flourish when Jesus Christ is at the center. This vision isn’t confined to the four-walls of the church. Instead, our vision expands into our neighboring communities. The Tree of Life Model is our blueprint for how we transform communities into ones that are connecting, growing, and producing. This model reaches people with God’s love in practical ways and gives them the tools they need to thrive.

Affordable Housing Initiative – Summit Oaks

Across the United States, neighborhoods are changing – becoming more racially diverse, entrepreneurial, and expensive. While we welcome some of the positive benefits, we also recognize its negative consequences, such as displacing current residents and business owners, raising the cost of living, and losing the original community identity.

Through the Federal Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program, we are partners in a community development initiative called Summit Oaks.

Summit Oaks is a 154-unit neighborhood with affordable housing options in the heart of Southeast Raleigh. The community represents the highest point (“Summit”) of living in Raleigh (City of “Oaks”) – making affordable housing possible in prime locations.

It’s official! The construction for Summit Oaks began May 2023 and we look forward to welcoming hundreds of people to the neighborhood very soon! We are so thankful that God has entrusted us to be a strategic partner in this community development program! Take a look at some photos below of the construction in progress!

Tree of Life Center

More than just a building, the Tree of Life Center will provide tools to help the community thrive. The Tree of Life Center will offer job and computer literacy training, tutoring, after-school programs, sports leagues, and more.

Our goal is to build the Tree of Life Center debt-free – you read right, debt-free. By cash-flowing construction, we can offer these programs to the community at low or no costs – making these resources more accessible to those who need them most. We are looking for partners who believe in this vision and are willing to invest in the future of our community.
