October 31: It’s Hallelu Night at MPWOC

All youth are invited to celebrate “Hallelu Night” at MPWOC, 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, October 31 in the Fellowship Hall. No one said we couldn’t dress up to be somebody or something positive. Be who you want to be when you grow up – a doctor, lawyer, pastor, president, nurse, caregiver, businessman or businesswoman – the sky’s the limit. We can do all things through Christ that strengthens us (Philippians 4:13). Instead of celebrating Halloween, celebrate Hallelu Night with us. We can still be all that God has told us we can be. We are dressing up. Are...

Breaking chains at our 2013 Youth & Young Adult Conference

This year’s theme, “Today’s the Day God Breaks My Chains”, was woven throughout the weekend’s activities, which included music, shows and dance by Laughing Out Loud Puppet Ministry and Combined Worship (with Restoration Christian Church). He brought them out of darkness and the deepest gloom and broke away their chains. Let them give thanks to the LORD for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for me, for he breaks down gates of bronze and cuts through bars...

2012 Youth Conference a resounding success

Fantastic. Awesome. A blessing. These are just a few of the words of praise for our 2012 Youth Conference, held July 27-29. “Now is the T.I.M.E.” was the prophetic theme, expressed through prayer, scripture readings and worshipful performances by Little Hands of Worship and Garment of Praise. On Sunday, Elder Albert Brooks Almore of St. John Missionary Baptist Church in New Bern brought the message home with his “Now is the Time to Change” sermon. Elder Almore, who leads the Youth and Young Adult ministry at his church, referenced The Transfiguration in Matthew 17:1-5, which states: “After six days Jesus...
