22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. Galatians 5:22-23 (KJV)
The Fruit of the Spirit are the nine character attributes of a transformed life. According to Galatians 5:22-23 (KJV), these nine attributes are love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness and temperance. (In the NIV, the nine are love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.)
The Fruit of the Spirit is who we are, not what we do, and must be at work in our lives if we are to make the best use of our spiritual gifts.
Each week beginning April 15 we’ll explore one of the nine components of the Fruit of the Spirit.
Bible study is held at 7 p.m. Wednesdays in the Sanctuary.
