Co-Pastor Vickie G. Walker

Co-Pastor Vickie Giles Walker is a native of Raleigh, North Carolina. She continued her education at Hardbarger Business College and Sherrill’s University of Cosmetology after graduating from Needham Broughton High School. She co-established A Lasting Impression Hair Salon after embarking on a successful career in cosmetology. She touched many lives during these nine years of entrepreneurship, which was God’s method of preparing her for a higher call in ministry.

Her early years of ministry preparation were under the leadership of Bishop M.S. Nesbitt. After joining Mt. Pleasant Worship & Outreach Center, she became actively involved in ministry, including as financial secretary, usher, choir member and part of our youth ministries. She has always understood the work of the Lord to be her reasonable service.

Pastor/Founder Lois W. Hinton and members of Mt. Pleasant Worship & Outreach Center installed her as Co-Pastor on September 19, 1999. Since then, she has continued to usher in the presence of God through praise and worship, and teach the Word with wisdom and revelation from God. She also serves under the spiritual covering of Bishop Haywood and Co-Pastor Wanda Parker, Truth Covenant Ministry. Co-Pastor Walker is the leader of the Women of Excellence Ministry, which empowers and enriches women in the ministry and community through economic, spiritual, and relational development.

She is married to Apostle Phillip A. Walker. They have two beautiful daughters, Cheri and Danaka, and two granddaughters, Briana and Donise. Their marriage has merged into ministry and is bringing the vision of Mt. Pleasant Worship & Outreach Center to fruition.
